Dark Elegance - Lilith
Ah! The first woman, Lilith.
Right before Eve appeared, there was Lilith. Born not from a man but with him. She was wild but not wicked; fierce, not fallen. Where others bowed, she stood tall (as she should). Where others whispered, she howled truth. Lilith is often depicted as a villain, she is a heroine of her own myth. She refused to be subdued, to live in the shadow of other’s will. As a consequence, stories tried to tame her with fear.
Now, about her companions here….The owl, ever watchful, ever wise! See what others overlook. Nocturnal, just like Lilith. The owl symbolizes that wisdom isnt always quiet, it sometimes stares you down in the dark.
The coyote, on the other hand is her laughter in the face of the absurd. A trickster and a survivor. Where the world builds a fence, the coyote digs a hole. Lilith’s accomplice is mischief.
Lilith reminds us that to be free, is to be true. Even if it means being misunderstood.
She isnt a warning, She is wonder.
I’m offering this beauty as an oil painting on high-quality canvas paper (290g/136 lb). It measures 12” x 16”. I've included some snapshots showcasing the texture.
Now, for the logistics: I’ll need 1-2 weeks to paint, plus about a week for it to dry. Expect a grand total of 3-4 weeks for it to arrive.
If you’re curious and want a sneak peek of the finished piece before it’s ready, just send me an email.
If you would like this piece on a real, frame-mounted canvas, please email me at heramysterium@gmail.com with the request a desired size so i could give you a price and list it for you.
Please note that color might seem different in person as every digital device and screen have a different color calibration and the measurement can be off by 1/8’’ approx. As it is painted by hand and not a print, each piece will look slightly different.
